Project China

How do you educate your staff?

Project China is a long-term assignment which aims to provide a professional educational service for companies in China. Our vision is to be a strategic supplier of continued education to them.

This summer, 2012, we have set up a project in cooperation with Linkoping University. The project includes a market survey that aims to study the difference in vocational education between companies with various cultural backgrounds. Industrial companies with headquarters in three different culture areas will be investigated: Scandinavian, Western and Chinese.

We have chosen the geographical area around the Yangtze River Delta with Wuxi as our focus city. This city is situated in the province of Jiangsu, the twin province of Eastern Gothia where many Scandinavian industrial companies are located.

Our activity in China

Gothia Logistics has been active on the Chinese market since 2003. In the beginning we delivered online training to companies in English and, from 2011 in Chinese. We also provide workshops in Chinese.

Customer evaluations of training projects prove that the online training significantly increased the efficiency and competitiveness of the company. Our customers report that they are more conscious of the benefits of online vocational training: lower costs, greater flexibility and environmental savings.

Market reports

Market reports indicate a fast growing market for corporate e-learning in China. Project China therefore is an interesting challenge to expand our services and develop our professional business further. The complete market briefing report is available here.

Figure 1 from the report - Totally during 14 months we had sent 180 survey invitations to the three target groups in China. As a whole, the participation rate is slightly below 50%.
